Top 5 places to eat with kids in St. Augustine, Florida

Eating out with small kids can be a challenge. At times we just grab food and head home, because there are just too many factors to consider when eating out with little kids.

Will they have a high chair? Will we have to wait long? Will our kids even eat the food?

We were pleasantly surprised by how many places we found in St. Augustine that we enjoyed with the kids. A few of the places we even went more than once!

Here are our top 5 places to eat with little kids in St. Augustine!

  • St. Augustine Seafood Company

    • We loooooved the food here and so did the kids! We went back a few times. This was a great option because you could order at the counter, but then sit at a table to eat. This makes it way faster with small kids. We loved the fish, salad, fries, fried fish and the amazing soda! You can also go bring your food to the Colonial Oak and listen to live music right next to the restaurant. There is also St. Augustine Seafood Company Bar & Lounge.

  • The Hyppo

    • If you love popsicles, these are the best! We found them in the Historic Downtown of St. Augustine. They are “full of unique and exciting flavor combinations”. The ingredients are all natural, and so good! The shop is really cute, with a small courtyard where you can eat your popsicle. You can also stroll the historic streets and explore while you eat. (You can also find these popsicles in many other locations throughout Florida!)

  • Fiction Donuts

    • We are always on the search for good donuts! The shop was so cute and the donuts were delicious! We loved the classics, but they also have some fun and unique flavors! The also have a very cute book club that encourages kids to read, and exchange they can some free donuts.

  • A1A Burrito Works

    • This might have been a grown up favorite, but the kids loved it too! We loved that it was right by the beach. There have plenty of outdoor seating, and sometimes even live music. The line is long, but we can order ahead. We loved the tacos, burritos and the chips and guac. Many people recommended the UFO, we will have to get it next time! Be patient with the parking, but once you find a good spot you can head to the beach for a nice walk. Or head over to Cone Heads Ice Cream!

  • Cone Heads Ice Cream

    • This was a great traditional ice cream shop right by the beach. Make sure you have cash! It’s cash only. The scoops are huge! We had a variety of sundaes, soft serve and scoops of ice cream. The beach is right down the street!
